What is your must-see holiday movie?

The one movie I HAVE to watch every Christmas is Nora Ephron's Mixed Nuts
. The cast is phenomenal - Steve Martin, Madeline Kahn, Juliette Lewis, Adam Sandler, Rita Wilson... Liev Schreiber IN A DRESS - and the plot (what little plot there is) is So Quirky. I find myself quoting it or thinking about it a lot even in the other months of the year, and randomly hearing Eartha Kitt singing "Santa Baby" if I'm out and about at Christmastime always makes me want to sit down to watch it.
Some of you will find yourselves no longer able to read my locked posts. If you give a damn and want to know why, you can e-mail me.
Cutting it down another notch. Offed this time are people who I never talk to, people who never post, people I don't know in RL, and people who think I'm worthless. :p
Anonymous, no-IP postfest time. Have fun. Tell me true confessions, or whatever the hell you want.
And LOOK, Peri.. I unlocked the post!! :p
( Meme, order by number please.Collapse )
PS You can still post anon and w/o IP.
And I unlocked the post, PERI. :P
I'm bored, I desire entertainment. I turned off no anonymous posting and IP logging. Have at.
Cleaning out my friends list.
If I've removed you, it's not because I hate you or whatever. It's just that we have little to nothing to say to one another (as evidenced by comments, conversation, etc... or lack thereof), OR you never post.. If'n I removed you and you really ARE interested in what little I have to say, but you just don't have the time or whatever to comment or chat or whatever, let me know.
I the utter absence of my own thoughts I give you.. a late Friday Five.
1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed?
Yup, it's the same.
2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?
I've thought about changing my name, but I haven't ever come up with a solid thing to change it TO. I might consider going by my middle name instead perhaps...
3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)
Because my mother's cousin named her little boy Stacey, which was supposed to be MY name. Mom decided she didn't want her girl named the same as a boy and didn't want her cousin to think she stole her name, nor for there to be confusion when we were little, so she changed what she named me. Turns out I don't even know this kid.
4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?
I don't particularly care for MY name. Otherwise, nope.
5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com / triggur.org / astroexpert accurate? How or how isn't it?
I meant to cross-post my book-sale thingies to my own journal and forgot. :p I have a ton of Dean Koontz books, some random novels and three "fuzzy" books that I need to make go away so that I have room on my bookshelves again. Books are $1 each plus actual shipping (if necessary).

Apparently anything and everything I say is about something, so I will quit saying ANYthing. That'll clear THAT up.
